Done Rite Roofing Installs New Roof for Tampa Veteran

Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project Gives Back to U.S. Military Veterans.

Owens Corning Platinum Contractors are working with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Florida to provide new roofs to veterans in need and their families as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.

Air Force veteran Kimberly Pettit, who began her service at Little Rock Air Force Base prior to deployments in South Korea, Germany and Panama, will receive a new roof on Tuesday, October 29, from Done Rite Roofing, an Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Contractor. This nationwide effort is a way to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Since the inception of the Owens Corning National Roof Deployment Project in 2016, more than 140 military members have received new roofs.

“Getting involved with the Roof Development Project has been a true honor,” said Christina Loiacano, Vice President at Done Rite Roofing. “It warms our hearts to be part of such a special initiative that gives back to veterans in a way that will keep them safe in their homes for years to come.”

Owens Corning Roofing and its network of independent Platinum Contractors, along with support from the Owens Corning Foundation, are donating roofing materials and labor to replace roofing shingles on the homes of military veterans and their families throughout the country. Through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Florida, Pettit was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.

“Kimberly and her family have sacrificed so much for our country, so we want to make sure they know our community recognizes and appreciates their service,” said Jeremy Cooke, Home Preservation Program Manager for Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Florida. “A new roof on her home is our way of saying thank you, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of Owens Corning and generosity of Done Rite Roofing.
